The mission of the Cytogenetic Research laboratory is to pursue the development, improvement and application of state-of-the art molecular cytogenetic technologies in biomedical research. |
Cytogenetic Biomarkers for Hematological Disorders By using high-resolution genome scanning technologies, we are looking for informative biomarkers in human hematologic disorders. This project is funded by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. |

Large-Scale Copy Number Polymorphisms While validating and testing a 1 Mb BAC array for genomic-wide scans for genomic copy number gains and losses, large-scale copy number variations were discovered in the human genome dramatically altering our understanding of the structure of the human genome. |

Zebrafish Cytogenetic Tools We are developing FISH probes and array-CGH platforms for molecular cytogenetic analyses in the model organism, Danio rerio. This project is funded by the National Cancer Institute of the National Institute of Health, USA. Please also see our lab website on: http://www.zfin.org |
